Last week, actress Garcelle Beauvais attended the the red carpet event, "Race To Erase MS" at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Los Angeles in Century City. And she wore one of my creations--a NIKOLAKI Spring 2011 raspberry silk jersey tunic dress with croq-skin leather shoulder accents--co-Designed by myself and David Paul.

It features a cowl front and plunging deep-cowl back, as seen from above.

Well, it was bound to happen: A NIKOLAKI "Who Wore It Best?" Moment! yes, in the latest edition of Us Weekly Magazine's May 2 issue, one of my designs was featured in their famous "Who Wore It Best?" page. It seems that one of our Spring 2011 NIKOLAKI creations is very popular, as of late, on the red carpet.

ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" Cheryl Burke and "Scream 4" actress Marley Shelton both wore the same raspberry silk ziberline strapless draped bust cocktail dress, not at the same event--Gracias a Dios! Burke wore it to a Rolling Stone Magazine Awards red carpet event, while Shelton walked the "Scream 4" Premiere last week in the dress.
So, Who Wore It Best? Well, according to Us Weekly readers....it was Miss Marley! She received 73% of the vote. As one of the designers, I think they BOTH wore it well!

I just found out that the beautiful actress , Marley Shelton, wore one of our NIKOLAKI dresses--earlier TODAY--on the Red Carpet Premiere of "Scream 4". Marley plays "Deputy Judy Hicks" in the upcoming Wes Craven film. She's been in TONS of movies, including her debut back in the well-received drama, "Grand Canyon", as well as "Pleasantville", "Sin City", "Grindhouse" and now, "Scream 4".

It's from our Spring 2011 Collection--co-designed by myself and my NIKOLAKI partner, David Paul. It is a silk ziberline strapless mini dress with diagonal pleated bustier and asymmetrical side-gathered detail (seen above from our www.nikolakidesign.com Spring 2011 Look Book photo). The color looks stunning on her and she looks FAB! Her stylist, the one and only Jessica Paster, gave her a "retro" vibe with the pointed toe pumps and gold clutch.
